CSGO Gloves: What You Need to Know

Gloves, in the game of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are a part of the clothing – seen as part of the game’s equipment. In order to maintain the balance of the game and uphold its competitive nature, these are purely aesthetic and won’t affect or amplify any of the game statistics.

The gloves are visible to all players and spectators of the game and they work in a similar way to standard CSGO skins. They all have a wear quality that is randomly attached to them/ They are deemed to be ultra-rare CSGO items which have designated stars next to the name of the CSGO gloves.

The CSGO Weapon Cases That Contain CSGO Gloves

There are five CSGO weapons cases that feature gloves as rare and special items: The Glove Case, The Clutch Case, The Operation Hydra Case, The Snakebite Case and the Operation Broken Fang Case.

However, if you do expect to get one on your first opening of one of these cases, you may be disappointed because, realistically, your chance of unboxing a glove skin from one of these is around just 0.26%… about the same chances as you opening up a non-StatTrak knife skin.

But why is it such a big deal to unbox a glove skin? Well, in CSGO, the cosmetics are a massive part of the whole game experience. Whether you get the cheapest gloves or the most expensive gloves – all players love having them in their inventory.

However, people are put off of getting gloves because they are considered to be pretty expensive compared to other weapon skins – and for a similar price, many would rather opt for a knife.

However, if you get a random drop with gloves in, then these are considered to be pretty special… and getting value gloves is certainly something that most players wouldn’t turn down.

The Most Popular CSGO Gloves

That being said, here are the best CSGO gloves to look out for:

Driver Gloves: King Snake

If you are looking for a unique looking glove, then the King Snake Driver Gloves are a great choice. These are a beautiful white colour with a snakeskin texture. These gloves will certainly stand out and make any skin look even better.

They were first introduced with the Clutch Case update back in February 2018. They can range in price anywhere between $294 for a battle-scarred pair up to $14,182 for a Factory New pair. This may sound pretty expensive, but that’s because they are as good as it gets! – and have a lot of bite!

Moto Gloves: Spearmint

These are certainly fresh and will leave a very nice taste in your mouth. The Spearmint Moto gloves might be reasonably old… having been around since 2016, but they remain the favourites of many a CSGO player.

Why/ Because these look stylish – and the minty green look works perfectly on them – fresh and funky. These can be found in 2 different cases – the Operation Hydra Case and the Glove Case. In terms of price, they can be bought for anywhere between $360 for battle-scarred up to $14,000 for Factory New.

Sport Gloves: Hedge Maze

If you wear these gloves, you might make your teammates green with envy. These are hugely popular because of the stunning green colour and the original maze texture.

These are the go-to gloves of many pro players and can be found on the Operation Hydra Cases and the Glove Cases. They can be purchased for anywhere between $700 for battle-scarred up to $11,800 for Factor New gloves.

Sport Gloves: Amphibious

Just like the Hedge Gloves, these are cool-looking gloves, with the amphibious skin being perfect on this style of glove.

If the colour blue makes you anything but blue then these are just for you… as they are stunning looking and will certainly catch your attention. These can be found in the Clutch Case – and you can buy them for anywhere between $512 for battle-Scarred up to around $5940 for Factory New.

Hand Wraps: Cobalt Skulls

These are supremely popular in style because they have a really unique look with metallic accents. The fact that they are hand wraps means that they look durable, cool, funky – and a bit like a rock star.

As well as having a beautiful indigo colouring, there is also the addition of the stand-out skull design, making them look a bit rock and roll. They can be found in the Clutch Cases and can be purchased for between $245 for Battle-Scarred up to $2780 for Factory New.

Specialist Gloves: Emerald Web

Another gloriously green pair of gloves are the Emerald Web Specialist Gloves, which are the perfect blend of cool and wow. They are a stunning emerald colour with a stand-out spider web pattern.

These may have been around since 2016, but they still manage to attract the top players. What’s more, you can get the battle-scarred ones for just $190. The Factory New gloves will set you back around $4730.

Specialist Gloves: Crimson Kimono

These are popular with the pro players out there. With a bold red colouring and an eye-catching diamond pattern. As is the case with all Specialist Gloves, these can be found in both the Operation Hugra Cases and the Gloves Cases.

If you want to purchase a pair, you will be able to get them from between $393 for battle-scarred up to $6767 for Factory New.

Sport Gloves: Pandora’s Box

Many people consider these to be some of the best gloves in CSGO. They are gorgeous black and purple gloves with a subtle but effective pattern on the palms.

However, you have to pay for them… quite heavily as these are the most expensive gloves on the list. They can cost around $708+ for battle-scarred and sell for as much as $29,000 in Factory New condition… Ouch!

These were first introduced in the Glove Case – but soon became the elite pair in that collection.

Specialist Gloves: Fade

Fade skins have started to reach iconic status – for play skins, knives and also gloves. These are hugely popular with fans because of their eye-catching faded colour and their subtle beauty. There is also the equally attractive Marble Fade glove as well.

You can find these in the Clutch case or buy them at the Steam Marketplace for anywhere between $39 up to $3700.

Sport Gloves: Vice

Vice is all about the vibe of colours. These are the gloves used by some of the very best players in the industry.

They are the second most expensive pair of gloves out there (after Pandora’s Box) and can cost as much as $21,000 in mint condition. You want quality? You have to pay for it!

Where to Get CSGO Gloves

If you are hoping to get one of the above pairs of gloves in a weekly in-game drop, then you might want a change of game plan. Unfortunately, these are far too rare and too expensive to be gotten in a random case drop. This means that if you do want to adorn yourself with one of these top pairs of gloves then you will either have to purchase them from the Steam Market or invest in CSGO cases from which they can be attained.

In this instance, there are two types of cases that might be of most interest to you – the Clutch Case and the Glove Case. These both cost just $0.03, but the contents are much different. The Glove Case will normally have better, more expensive CSGO glove skins, whereas the Clutch Cases will normally offer more popular and expensive normal weapon skins.

Remember though, CSGO gloves are very rare, so the chances are that you will be opening up a lot of standard weapon skins before you manage to get a pair of CSGO gloves. So, you may want to choose the case that has the better and more expensive skins in general.

Buying, Selling and Trading CSGO Gloves

If you wish to buy or sell a pair of CSGO gloves, then this can either be done on the Steam Marketplace or through third-party services and markets like Skin wallet. There are pros and cons to both.

If you opt for the Steam Community Market, then you will see the highest prices – which is great for selling. Any money you earn this way will end up in your Steam Wallet. This means that it cannot be withdrawn and the money can only be spent on the purchase of other skins from the Market, Steam games, card packs or gift cards.

Then there is the 3rd party option. Prices here are lower for sellers, but any money you do earn can be withdrawn and won’t need to be spent in Steam. It can often be withdrawn via options such as PayPal and even cryptocurrencies. The biggest issue with this is the chance of scams. In addition, if you have a lot to sell, then listing it all can take up quite a lot of time. You also have to rely on another player to accept your offer to earn money.

If you want to get the money quickly and easily, then a site such as Skinwallet is the best option. Although you may be able to barter for a higher price if you manually list it yourself, Skinwallet gives instant payments. Furthermore, no questions are asked. They make an offer for a skin and you choose whether or not to accept it.

In order to sell Gloves on the Skinwallet site, you will need your Steam Inventory set to public, then log into Skin Wallet with your Steam Account. Fill in your Trade URL and head over to the deposits page. You then simply pick the gloves you wish to sell and then make the transaction. Simple. You can get the money into your Skin Wallet account balance in just a matter of moments.

If you are looking to buy CSGO gloves, then you have two main options. You can go to the Steam Market, which is the safest way. However, it isn’t the cheapest or most efficient. You will usually end up paying about 20% more on Steam than anywhere else. Then you need to consider the transaction fee – which is another 155 on top of the higher price.

Alternatively, you could head over to one of the 3rd party markets to look for good CSGO glove skin offers. What’s more, usually the rarer CSGO gloves can be found more often at one of these markets rather than the Steam Market… probably because the money is withdrawable.

Should You Buy CSGO Gloves?

Well, there is no right or wrong answer to this one. If you have the money going spare and you like the look of one of our most popular pairs of CSGO Gloves, then what’s stopping you? They can look great. However, if you are considering them as more of an investment, then you will need to answer a few questions first.

Firstly, do you have enough money for this as a long-term investment? Although gloves will rise in price, they will be at a slow and steady rate. This means you may need to wait for a couple of years to get a return. Because the gloves mean a substantial layout in the first place, a rise of just 5-10% can mean quite substantial gains.  However, because your funds will be frozen for quite some time, you need to see it through or else risk losing on the investment.

CSGO Gloves Summary

So hopefully you know about gloves skins and which are the best, most popular and extraordinary gloves out there – along with how much you should expect to pay for a decent pair. If you do consider getting yourself a pair, then try for the best prices and make sure you only buy at a suitable site! Good luck – and make sure you get your hands on the best out there!
